Alexandre Ferreli Souza graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000), obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ in 2003, MBA in Maintenance Engineering in 2004 (UFRJ), specialist title in Work Safety in 2013 (UFRJ) and specialist title in Clinical Engineering in 2016 (HIAE). He has worked in medical equipment and Clinical Engineering companies since 1995, as a field engineer, supervisor, coordinator, judicial expert, and manager. He published with 3 other authors the book “Maintenance Management in Health Services” (2010). He served in the Brazilian Association of Clinical Engineering as President in the 2017/2020 management. He provided consulting for various companies and public agencies. He participated in several working groups in the CONFEA/CREA system on Clinical Engineering and hospital inspection. He is a collaborator of IFMBE. He acts as Operational Manager at Staff Clinical Engineering and coordinator of the specialization course in Clinical Engineering at the E-Health Institute. His field of interest includes patient safety, application of Maintenance Engineering standards in the medical-hospital area, and optimization of processes in Clinical Engineering.

Civil Engineer with over 10 years of experience in planning and control of large constructions (totaling more than 465,000 m²). Focused since 2015 on hospital construction, and from 2020 acting as Hospital Engineering Manager, coordinating Building and Clinical Engineering. Field experience in building construction, urban infrastructure, building installations, construction planning, project management, public administration, and bidding.

Graduated in Industrial Engineering – Electrical from Santa Cecilia University in Santos-SP. Postgraduate in business administration, Latu Sensu. Founder and Technical Director of Grau Engenharia de Instalações, a company specialized in hospital installation projects, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, since October 1992. Member of ABDEH, Brazilian Association for the Development of Hospital Buildings, where he acts as a speaker giving courses on installations in all Brazilian capitals for architects, engineers, maintenance teams, and Anvisa members. Taught hospital installation courses in several hospitals in São Paulo for maintenance teams. Participated as a guest speaker in the forums of ABEClin, Tecsaude, IPH, IBAPE, ABDEH.

Architect and urban planner graduated from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) – Spain. Specialist in Health systems from UFBA. Professor of the courses “Architecture of Hospitals, Clinics and Laboratories” promoted by AEA Continuing Education and Imbec, of the extension courses in Architecture of Health Establishments held by the Faculty of Architecture of UFBA. Develops research in the areas of Sustainability and Clean Technologies for Health Care Establishments (EAS), Humanization in EAS and Evidence-Based Architecture. Director of the Bahia Regional of ABDEH -2014/2017. Vice President/Marketing National Board of ABDEH (Brazilian Association for the Development of Hospital Buildings) 2017/2020. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of RS (1984); specialization in solid, liquid and gaseous effluent treatment projects from PUC-RS; postgraduate in the Master’s of Fluid Mechanics at UFRGS; Co-founder and CKO of the Brazilian Network of Clinical and Hospital Engineering – EngeHosp; Co-founder and CEO of the IoT devices company for the health area DataSensors; Co-founder and CTO of DataClin company; Was vice-President of ABEClin in the 2012 to 2017 managements; Was a university professor at Fadergs and UniLasalle Colleges; Is a university professor at Facesc in the Hospital Management Course;

Postgraduate in Energy Efficiency from PECE-USP, Postgraduate in Sustainable Construction from Inbec – GBCBrasil and Postgraduate from the Brazil-Germany Technological program “EUREM” – Europe Energy Manager, with International Certification in Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Carbon Credits. Professor, speaker on the topic “Electrical Power Quality” and Instructor of the Electrical Power Quality Course. Currently CEO of Grupo Amatti Engenharia and Maxxima Power Quality.

Holds a degree and full teaching license in Letters – Portuguese-Literatures from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1985); master’s degree in Letters (Literature Science) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1995); doctorate in History of Sciences, Techniques and Epistemologies from HCTE/UFRJ (2014). From CREA-SP in 2019 received the Engineering Merit Diploma, the highest honor given in life to a professional, for his work in valuing engineering in health environments, was also Professor of Clinical Engineering discipline in the Biomedical Engineering course at PUC-SP for 8 years, currently acts as a Consultant in Clinical Engineering. Completed a master’s degree at the Institute of Radioprotection and Dosimetry of the National Nuclear Energy Commission (IRD/CNEN), with emphasis on internal dosimetry in Nuclear Medicine (Lu-177). Holds the titles of Radioprotection Supervisor in Nuclear Medicine by the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN). Medical Physics Specialist in Nuclear Medicine by ABFM. Executive MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ class 111/2015. PhD student at the Center for Nuclear Technology Development (CDTN/CNEN).

I am graduated in Control and Automation Engineering and Civil Engineering, postgraduate in Biomedical Engineering and Hospital Management, currently working as Corporate Manager of Infrastructure and Maintenance at the Association of Management, Innovation and Health Results – AGIR.
